New public artwork for Tullibody
Local News | Thursday 07 February 2008 - 20:06:34 | by admin |
A new public artwork by sculptor Andy Scott was erected at Muirside roundabout in Tullibody on 1 February. The sculpture of a striding man, entitled 'Man in Motion', is a partner piece to the popular 'River Spirit', which graces Collylands roundabout between Sauchie and Alva. Children from St Serf's primary school in Tullibody visited Andy Scott's workshop and his assistant came to the school to work with the pupils. Many of Andy's projects incorporate educational aspects and he has even incorporated creative input from schools and community groups. Councillor Carrick said, 'We're delighted to have Andy's work on view to residents and visitors in Clackmannanshire, and the fact that he has involved the school makes this piece even more special. We're sure it will become a popular local landmark.'

Wackywindows Educational Games
Misc | Sunday 27 January 2008 - 12:53:57 | by admin |
This site is a great site for preschool & young children! It has a range of games for the age groups 3-7 in Math’s, English and Art! - The games are beautifully designed and fully interactive. The characters speak aloud, so there are vocal instructions within the site. If you are interested in entertaining your child whilst educating them, you should have a look at Wackywindows.com - You and your child will really love it! My daughter is 5 years old now has been using the site for some time now and absolutely loves it! - After registering you receive a score book which tracks and logs all your child's movements within the site. So I can see visually how well they are doing within each game, subject, the time spent on each game and how many points were awarded etc. Go check it out, you will be delightfully impressed.

Tullibody Amateurs
Misc | Monday 26 February 2007 - 16:59:19 | by admin |
After 2 years without amateur football, Clackmannanshire has its famous amateur team back.
Tullibody Amateurs have reformed and will play in the season 2007/08. At a recently arranged meeting it was decided by members of the previous committee to welcome a new approach from interested parties to bring amateur football back to the village.
We will be releasing more information about the reformation of the amateurs in due course and in the meantime we would welcome enquires from anyone interested in joining the committee, we are also looking for players, and as we build up to the new season we are looking for local companies to become our partners.
Everyone we spoke to after the break-up of the amateurs were saddened by the news and we hope this great news will be met with joy and we hope to see everyone contribute to the continued success which we were so recently blessed with.
